Okay, Lloyd's do do a bridging loan product. However, it is not available through their High Street banks. For bridge finance with Lloyd's, you have to apply through their private bank. Factor in, this type of short term funding can ONLY be used for a break in the property chain AND you HAVE to have £250,000 in equity or bank account. So yes, there is a thing called the Lloyd's bank bridging loans, but it isn't available for normal, everyday people. Ours brand of bridging loans are though. Lloyd's bank mortgages.
An alternative to high value short term funding from the Lloyd's s one of their mortgage products. However, they are not designed for short term borrowing. Depending on your age, you will be locked into a fifteen, twenty or twenty five year period. Plus if you have an adverse credit history, regardless of how much deposit you have you will not qualify for a mortgage with the bank. We deal specifically with those with a poor credit history. You can walk into any Lloyds bank branch and even without a bank account with them, apply for a personal loan. However, it does have drawbacks. You are also restricted by banking rules and UK Government legislation to borrowing a maximum of £15,000.00 which, if you are trying to buy, renovate or refurb, or even save a property, will tend to not be enough. So, is a Lloyd's credit card good for property investment? No, no type of credit card is. Credit cards work on a reducing interest system. So every month, th interest is added first then your minimum monthly repayment is taken off. The problem with that is that you minimum payment is only just higher than the interest accrued on your outstanding balance. You will literally pay a credit off forever.
